Saying “call” means that you will match the last bet or raise. For example, if the player to your right raises $10 and it’s your turn, you will say “call” to put in the same amount of money as the previous player. Saying “raise” means that you want to increase the size of your bet by raising it above the current bet.
Then, the other players must decide whether to call your raise or fold. If they call your raise, they will put their own bet in the pot along with yours. If they fold, you will not have to put any more money into the pot. If they raise your bet, you must decide whether to fold or continue betting with your strong hand.
